Microsoft Tag™ Videos

If a picture is worth a 1000 words

The newest videos support our new service LunaTagGen Styled.

In the first video below, we show the creation of a Custom Tag using our new service LunaTagGen Styled™. Then we go to our service, enter the URL we want, select an image file to upload and click "Create Custom Tag". That's all there is to it. From the file dialog we select open to view the image on screen. Of course you can save it wherever you choose and open it in your preferred graphics program to begin additional modifications.

In the second video, we show the verification of a Custom Tag as viewed through a the phone. Using the numeric sequence, 0, 1, 1, 2, 2 we invoke the verification mode of the Microsoft Tag reader. We change the mode ahead because the reader is so fast, if you wait until the image is on screen, the reader will read the Tag and start IE before you have time to change modes. Through the phone's camera you can see the resulting green square and circles, indicating that the tag as returned from the service is verified as readable.

These four videos coincide with the release of our LunaTagGen Accelerators.

In the next four videos three showcase the accelerators in action and the final one is a recording of our installation testing. The first two show two vantages of the same process; one from the desktop and the other from a mobile device. This highlights the intended purpose of capturing something on the desktop and moving it to your phone in the simplest and fastest way.

No matter what your interest, you should find something here you can use.

One of the really cool things about Tag is that it allows us to define new uses. Since Microsoft Tag started life with a programmable interface and extensibility in mind, we are able to adapt it to new uses. QR Codes have been mired in the "read a code - go to a webpage" paradigm for about 7 years. In just one year, Microsoft Tag has shown its ability to not only compete in that field but to open up whole new opportunities. Displaying someone's contact information as we show below is just the begining.
